The Temple University Student Financial Services office encourages all students to complete the annual FAFSA application. Review the following financial aid steps to ensure that you understand all of the factors involved in receiving and retaining financial aid.
Complete the FAFSA
Students seeking financial aid at Temple University apply for it by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1. Temple's FAFSA priority filing deadline is March 1.
To receive and retain financial aid, students must meet certain eligibility requirements. Estimated financial aid awards are based on the information provided by students/parents on the FAFSA.
Financial aid awarding begins mid-February for newly admitted undergraduate students, end of February for newly admited graduate students and mid-June (after spring grades) for returning undergraduate and graduate students. Once our awarding begins for the new aid year, the financial aid packaging processes run every week.
After receiving your financial aid award information in the Cost and Aid Tab of the TUportal.
