All students interested in financial aid should complete the annual FAFSA online application. Review the following steps to ensure that you understand all of the factors involved in receiving and retaining financial aid.
Complete the FAFSA
Complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1. Temple's FAFSA priority filing deadline is March 1 for need-based grant funding. Funding is never a guarantee and can be limited.
To receive and retain financial aid, students must meet certain eligibility requirements every year. Estimated financial aid awards are based on the information provided by students/parents on the FAFSA.
Financial aid awarding begins mid-February for newly admitted undergraduate students and in mid-June (after spring grades) for returning undergraduate and all graduate students. Once our awarding begins for the new aid year, the financial aid packaging processes run every week.
After receiving your financial aid award information in the Cost and Aid Tab of the TUportal. All federal loans and work study grants must be accepted online within a student's Self Service Banner account.
