Summer Work-Study Call Center Agent

Job Description: 

Location: Main Campus- Student Financial Services Office-Carnell Hall-Ground Level

Wage: $10/hr. Must qualify for summer work-study. Contact to be reviewed

Work hours:  Hours available between 8:30 & 4:30 Monday – Friday 

Length of Employment:  May – August 12th.


List Full Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an on-campus position. Work-study students will be required to physically work in the SFS office.

  • The SFS work-study student will be responsible for answering incoming calls in the SFS Call center and creating accurate tickets in the Remedy communication management system.
  • You will utilize our SFS GENESYS PureCloud Call System to take inbound calls as well as make outbound calls when required.
    • You will not be expected to resolve caller questions.
  • You will utilize the Remedy communication management system to create accurate tickets regarding the reason the caller has reached out to SFS and route them to the appropriate queue in Remedy.
  • Assist with editing existing tickets. This would include updating TUID, name, phone number, email address etc.
  • Participate in special projects (Open House, Experience Temple Day) on an as-needed basis. This might be on weekends or evening hours.
  • Adhere to all FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) guidelines

General Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in an office environment which requires sitting for an extended period
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must employ active listening and be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, and other callers
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high-volume environment
